The Association des Biologistes Luxembourgeois (ABIOL) brings together biologists and people with a strong interest in biology in Luxembourg. The association promotes biological knowledge, professional and scientific exchange, and public engagement with biodiversity and the life sciences.
ABIOL collaborates with scientific and nature-conservation institutions in Luxembourg and organises or supports activities that connect professional biology, education and public awareness.
Activities
ABIOL’s missions include providing a platform for biologists in all professions, organising education and training, protecting the environment, defending the interests of Luxembourg biologists, promoting biology in education and collecting and sharing information.
Recent activities include a bacteria summer school (September 2025), plant courses (spring 2026) and the Hello Spring programme. The association publishes a newsletter and celebrates its 50th anniversary in June 2026.
