Biologian ja maantieteen opettajien liitto BMOL ry (Association of Biology and Geography Teachers) is the Finnish professional association for biology and geography teachers. It supports the professional development and interests of teachers and promotes high-quality teaching in biology, geography and related environmental subjects.

BMOL organises training and professional activities, publishes and shares teaching materials, contributes to discussion about science education and curricula, and participates in national and international cooperation in biology and geography education.

Activities

BMOL organises training and professional activities and offers recommendations and grading guidelines for preliminary examinations. It runs the Biology and Geography Olympiads, awards member scholarships and organises regional activities.

Members receive the quarterly magazine Natura, which is also available online. The union is led by a board and working groups. Its members are biology and geography teachers and teacher trainees.
