Foreningen af Danske Biologer (FaDB)

Foreningen af Danske Biologer (FaDB) is a Danish professional association for biologists, with a strong focus on biology and biotechnology in upper-secondary education. The association supports professional exchange, continuing education and the development of high-quality biology teaching.

FaDB provides information, courses, professional networks and subject-related resources for its members and promotes biology in education and society. Membership is open to qualified biologists and other appropriately qualified professionals teaching biology or biotechnology at upper-secondary level.

Activities

FaDB organises courses for biology teachers, the SCIENCE conference with keynote speakers, and an annual bioconference (held since 2016). It also manages development funds for educational projects and maintains an archive of course materials covering topics such as CRISPR, enzymes, bacteria and experimental genetics.

The association publishes the quarterly members’ magazine Biofag. It is led by a board whose meeting minutes are public.
