Royal Society of Biology (RSB)
The Royal Society of Biology (RSB) is a professional body for the biological sciences and a unified voice for biology in the United Kingdom. It supports professional development, education, policy engagement and public understanding across the life sciences.
RSB has more than 27,000 members and a network of almost 100 Member Organisations. Role and priorities
RSB was created through the unification of the Biosciences Federation and the Institute of Biology. It advises government and policy makers, represents many of the learned societies and organisations within the UK’s biological sciences and gives policy makers access to independent, evidence-based opinion.
It promotes biology as a subject of choice, recognises excellence in biology teaching, champions a challenging biology curriculum, supports young scientists through higher education and provides career guidance at all levels.
