Biyologlar Dayanışma Derneği (Biologists Solidarity Association)

The Biyologlar Dayanışma Derneği (Biologists Solidarity Association), founded in 2009, works for the rights and professional standing of biologists in Türkiye. It aims to bring biologists to the level they deserve in all areas of biological science and to ensure that the rights and powers of biologists are legally guaranteed, by developing professional solidarity and organising as widely as possible.

Objectives

to conduct research to improve the professional position of biologists and to take legal action where necessary
to work towards a Turkish Union (Chamber) of Biologists and a legal definition of the profession
to contribute to the development of biological science in Türkiye and to promote the profession to the public
to cooperate with relevant institutions on the professional rights of biologists and on better biology education
to organise training, courses, conferences, congresses and publications
to increase the employment of biologists in public institutions and private enterprises
to take part in national and international scientific and professional organisations in the field of biology

Activities

The association organises congresses (six so far, with the sixth held in 2025), workshops on research integrity, and publishes news and announcements, including job listings for biologists.
