Bird-window collisions are the second largest human induced threat to birds worldwide. BirdShades has successfully developed an invisible bird protection window film which is invisible to humans but highly noticeable to birds.

Dominique Waddoup will share how scientific research on animal behavior led to the development of an innovative solution to a critical conservation challenge. For teachers, this session offers an opportunity to bring entrepreneurship in combination with sustainability and biology into their classrooms and inspires students to think creatively about solving environmental issues. This session will provide practical examples of applying scientific knowledge beyond academia and encourage discussions on fostering innovation for a sustainable future.
